AWUGU Meeting Report about Visual Organizing

by Tom Piper, Coordinator

This Apple World User Group University online gathering of Apple user group leaders was held at 5:00pm CDST, on February 20, 2023, via Zoom. We had 29 participants for the topics of CES Report and Apple Visual Organizing. The 80-minute video can be viewed at https://youtu.be/RKUcSRBHb7M (unlisted on YouTube).

This session opened with my welcome, plus a quick review of the meeting protocols. Doug Smith, Chair of the Apple User Group Advisory Board (AUGAB) provided backup support during the call.

The main presentation was about Apple Visual Organizing by Steve Welsh (The Oregon MacPioneers User Group) using an interesting slide presentation about Comments, Reminders and Photos plus demonstrations of each. This was followed by an additional interactive display of the new Freeform and its various tools, with Dan Wassink as the remote user adding and changing items online.

Doug Smith then briefly fielded questions about what AUGs need from the Apple User Group Advisory Board. He invited anyone to send comments and suggestions to him directly to his email at bdsjr@me.com. Thanks were also offered to Dan Wassink for his excellent Ask Me Anything sessions and free tutorials, as well as a great updated website.

A few additional comments were made, experiences shared and suggestions offered by user group leaders with the following excellent links provided in the Chat Room:
